Rosemary Bread
for the bread machine

  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1 TBL sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 TBL dry yeast
  • 1 tsp crushed rosemary needles
  • 1 cup of buttermilk

Just add the above ingredients into your bread machine. Instead of buttermilk, you can use water and a little bit of oil - 1/4 tsp, instead. Then you are ready to to bake in your bread machine.

Sometimes, I like to just have the bread machine do all the mixing and needing. I just use the dough setting. I take it out when it's finished. I then shape it into a fancy shape (like the gourmet ones that you see at the grocery stores). Make sure your hands are buttered first though so that the dough doesn't stick to your hands, and spray your cookie sheet or whatever pan you want to use, with Pam. Shape your dough and let it rise in a warm, draft-free place (about 45 mintes). Bake at 375 for 30-35 minutes, maybe more if you have an old stove like mine! Just check it to see that the bread is nicely browned on top.
