Rose
Petal Jelly When you add the lemon juice to the rose petal infusion, the juice all of a sudden turns a pretty pink. It's really a neat thing to see! This jelly has a very delicate flavor. It tastes just like a rose smells! This jelly can lose it's flavor in a few months. So keep it in a cool, dark place, and use it quickly. I bring a jar to family get togethers along with a lightly herbed bread. Rose Petal Jelly compliments Rosemary Bread beautifully! I also use this recipe for lavender jelly. I dry my lavender flowers, and use them all year long in various things. So I substitute 4 tablespoons of my dried lavender flowers (buds), for the rose petals.
